Joel has been tattooing professionally since 1998. He had a traditional apprenticeship under Miya Bailey in Asheville NC, then worked for Bill Funk (the son of “crazy ” Philadelphia Eddie) in Philadelphia. After that he worked for Steve Anderson in Medford Oregon. He works in a wide variety of styles. Joel also carries on the traditions of old school tattooers by building his own needles and mixing his own pigments as well as building his own tattoo machines.
